Skeepy Pay: the rules
At any clinic in Nigeria, you pay for your pet's covered care with Skeepy Pay, and the money goes into the clinic's business account. These rules keep it fast for honest Skeepers.
1Who it is for
A pet with an active plan, for care its plan covers, once that benefit's own waiting period has passed. Before the first payment, you add five photos of the pet; you take them once. Every pet needs a profile photo.
2Which clinics
Any veterinary clinic in Nigeria with its own physical premises. Skeepy Pay cannot pay a mobile vet, one who has no clinic premises of their own, unless it is one of Skeepy's Recommended Clinics; nor a clinic that does not issue receipts. Every payment needs a photo of the clinic's receipt. It pays only into a business bank account in the clinic's registered name. A clinic Skeepy has removed cannot be chosen. Skeepy also lists Recommended Clinics, which you are free to use or not.
3Your primary clinic
Each pet has a primary clinic: the one it usually goes to. The first clinic you pay with Skeepy Pay becomes its primary clinic unless you choose one first, and you can change it in the pet's profile. You can still use any other clinic. When you do, Skeepy Pay asks why.
4Prices
Skeepy Pay covers up to the price clinics normally charge for each service. If a price is far above that, Skeepy Pay tells you before you pay, so you can check it with the clinic. Anything your plan does not cover, you pay the clinic yourself.
5What you send
- What happened: the symptoms, the clinic's diagnosis and the attending veterinarian.
- The treatment, line by line, at the prices on the receipt, and a photo of the receipt taken with Skeepy Camera. Nothing is uploaded.
- A photo of the pet inside the clinic, every time, taken with Skeepy Camera in your dashboard. It shows when and where it was taken, and it is checked against the pet's profile photo. Location must be on, and Skeepy Pay cannot be used through a VPN.
- Where a medicine is on the bill, Skeepy supplies it itself rather than paying the clinic for it, and contacts you to arrange it.
6Your PIN
Every payment needs your four-digit Skeepy Pay PIN. You set it, and change it, with your account password. Nobody from Skeepy will ever ask you for it. Five wrong PINs lock Skeepy Pay for thirty minutes.
7How long it takes
Most payments reach the clinic within minutes, weekends included. High-cost care is approved by a Skeepy vet first, usually within thirty minutes. You get a receipt to show at the desk.
8What you confirm each time
I confirm this bill is genuine, for my pet, for care given today, at the price the clinic charges everyone. I understand that inflating a bill, claiming for care not given or for another animal, or arranging any of this with a clinic is fraud: Skeepy ends the plan, recovers what it paid, and reports it to the police.Fair use and fraud
9After the visit
When your payment has gone through, you can rate the clinic. Your stars help other Skeepers choose a clinic.
