The rules, in plain words.
Every benefit has its own waiting period, counted from the day cover starts: 14 days for consultations and core vaccines, longer for others. Each one is in the table on this page.
If a renewal is missed and cover lapses, waiting periods start again when you renew: every benefit waits at least 30 days, and benefits with longer waits wait their full period again.
Only long-term conditions your pet had before joining are excluded, such as diabetes, kidney or heart disease, hip dysplasia, epilepsy and long-term skin allergies. Illnesses your pet has had and recovered from are covered.
Skeepy Pay covers what clinics usually charge. A price well above that is stopped before anything is paid.
Surgery and other high-cost treatment are reviewed by a Skeepy vet before treatment starts, usually within 15 to 30 minutes.

About single plans.
Can I use my own vet?
Yes. You can pay any clinic in Nigeria with Skeepy Pay, as long as it has a business bank account in the clinic's registered name. The vet doesn't need to sign up with Skeepy. It must be a clinic with its own premises that gives a receipt: Skeepy Pay cannot pay a mobile vet, unless it is one of Skeepy's Recommended Clinics, or a clinic that does not issue receipts.
How do I pay the clinic?
With Skeepy Pay, in your dashboard. Choose the clinic, or add it with its registered name, city, state and business bank account; pick the services and enter the prices. Each line shows whether your plan covers it. Then pay.
Are medicines covered?
Yes. On Purrfect and Infinity, prescribed medicines, medicines for a chronic condition and supplements each have their own yearly limit. On Cublings and Furrtastic, medicines come out of the illness limit.
Is surgery covered?
Yes, up to ₦380,000 a year on Cublings, ₦400,000 on Furrtastic, ₦750,000 on Purrfect and ₦1,500,000 on Infinity. Spaying and neutering are on Cublings, Purrfect and Infinity.
Can I change my plan?
Yes, you can upgrade at any time from your dashboard or by messaging us.
What happens if I miss a renewal?
Your cover lapses, and waiting periods start again when you renew: every benefit waits at least 30 days, and benefits with longer waits wait their full period again. Renewing on time keeps your cover running.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time. Your cover stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. If you are new, you can cancel within 48 hours of joining for a full refund, as long as you have not used any Skeepy service in that time.
